A SAFE PLACE TO PLAY

NEW PLAY EQUIPMENT

Following a successful Big Lottery bid in 2006 Hemingby now boasts brand new, state of the art play facilities for children up to the age of twelve. Our play area is open for villagers and visitors to enjoy with many of the play equipment suitable for disabled children. Managed by the Play Area Committee the facilities offer a safe place to play away from major roads and hazards at the heart of our rural village.

MAKING THINGS BETTER

All members of the Play Area Committee remain active by holding fund-raising events to boost the funds needed for maintenance and to expand the facilities for all our children. Geared towards the young members of our community we are keen to promote all activities that will help young villagers get exercise and have fun. Please keep an eye on the      WHAT'S ON page to find out what's happening next.

SAFETY

In addition to our annual maintenance schedule the Play Area Committee carries out weekly inspections of all apparatus to ensure everything is keep safe and clean. However if you spot any defects please let us know by calling Helen on 01507 578501 or Doug on 01507 578533 immediately.

COME AND PLAY, HAVE FUN AND ENJOY

BARN DANCE PHOTOS

A BIG THANK YOU!

for coming along  to Hemingby and for supporting our event,

our first ever barn dance. You have helped us to raise money

for the upkeep of our play area and we hope had fun doing so.

In all 270 people came along to Hemingby and created a great atmosphere. I was great to see local people, with friends from

near and far coming along to dance, talk, have a drink or two

and relax in a unique setting.

With the wonderful help of all our sponsors who donated

raffle prizes and materials and the hard work of the committee

we can say the event was a great success.

Of course the biggest thanks go to Sheena and Michael Read

who's generosity, trust and patience made it all possible.

They welcomed hundreds of strangers to their farm for

the evening and proved to be such amiable hosts.
